- 2 cups powdered sugar

- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Mix Wet Ingredients: In a large bowl, cream together butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla extract.
- Combine Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt. Gradually blend into butter mixture.
- Add Mix-ins: Stir in chopped almonds and chocolate chips.
- Form Cookies: Drop dough by rounded tablespoons onto prepared baking sheets.
- Bake: Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until edges are set. Allow cookies to cool on baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.
- Prepare Frosting: In a medium bowl, beat butter until smooth. Add cocoa powder and powdered sugar, mixing until combined. Add milk, one tablespoon at a time, until frosting reaches spreadable consistency. Stir in vanilla extract.
- Frost Cookies: Once cookies are completely cool, spread frosting on each one.
