Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 large apples, peeled, cored, and thinly sliced
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp melted butter
  • Powdered sugar or maple syrup, for serving

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  • In a large bowl, combine the sliced apples, ground cinnamon, and granulated sugar. Toss to coat the apples evenly. Spread the apple mixture in the prepared baking dish.
  • In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, eggs, vanilla extract, and melted butter. Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  • Pour the batter over the apple mixture in the baking dish, spreading it out evenly.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the pancake is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Allow the pancake to cool for a few minutes before slicing. Serve warm, topped with powdered sugar or maple syrup.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, use whole milk or add a splash of heavy cream.
  • You can substitute the apples with pears for a different twist.
  • This pancake can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven or microwave before serving.
