For the Dough:

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup plain Greek yogurt

For the Filling:

  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon

For the Glaze:

  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  • Turn on the Oven: Set the oven’s temperature to 375Β°F, or 190Β°C. Grease a muffin tray or small baking dish.
  • Get the dough ready: Mix the flour, sugar, baking soda, baking powder, and salt in a large basin. Melt the butter, add the milk, then stir in the Greek yogurt in a separate dish. When a soft dough forms, add the wet components to the dry ones and mix.
  • Roll Out the Dough: Roll out the dough into a rectangle that is approximately 1/4 inch thick on a surface dusted with flour.
  • Add the Filling: Evenly cover the dough with the softened butter. Sprinkle the cinnamon and brown sugar in a small dish and distribute it evenly over the greased dough.
  • Form the Rolls: Starting at the long edge, tightly roll the dough into a log. Slice the log into 6–8 equal pieces, then transfer them to the muffin pan or baking dish that has been preheated.
  • Bake: The rolls should be cooked through and golden brown after 20 to 25 minutes in the oven.
  • Get the glaze ready: Blend the milk, vanilla extract, and powdered sugar until smooth while the rolls bake.
  • Glaze and Serve: After the rolls are finished, let them to cool a little bit before pouring the glaze on top. Enjoy and warm up!

Notes

  • For an extra gooey filling, you can add a bit more butter and sugar to the filling mixture.
  • Although they are best eaten fresh, these rolls may be kept for up to two days in an airtight container.
