Instructions

  • Bake the Cake: Prepare and bake the vanilla cake according to the package instructions in a 9×13-inch baking dish. Allow the cake to cool completely.
  • Poke the Cake: Once the cake is cool, use the handle of a wooden spoon to poke holes all over the cake, about 1 inch apart.
